Ellen Schecter, Ph.D

Ellen is an executive coach and consultant whose direct style, incisive analysis, and results-orientation have gained her a strong reputation with senior organizational leaders. Combining a business background with expertise in psychology, she helps individuals enhance their effectiveness by understanding the impact of their behavior on others and on their organizations, then leveraging strengths while minimizing less productive actions. She has worked with leaders from a variety of industries in corporate environments, as well as Executive Education Programs at Dartmouth College’s and Harvard University’s Business Schools.

Ellen has over 25 years of experience in organizational effectiveness, change and transformation, culture, executive development, and leadership coaching. Her education reflects her passion for people and their behavior in work, society and personal life. She studied cultural anthropology as an undergraduate, has a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. She also held a Lectureship appointment in Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School.
