Our Purpose

Our purpose is to surface the untapped potential in people and organizations. We want you to see and experience the power of what and who is already there.

And with that newfound clarity, mobilize your organization to a new level of effective, productive, and meaningful action.

The Approach

The Process

Our approach is specific to our clients’ needs, goals and situation. We create a custom program for each engagement, with common elements across most of our work. This includes team-based and individual coaching.

Our work becomes part of the fabric of our clients’ culture, as the teams and individuals move through the phases shown.

Trilogy Effect’s work is grounded in
the Enneagram

The Enneagram is a framework for transformational development, offering each of us the opportunity to explore our core motivations and inherent gifts. Through this lens, people become aware of their own automatic patterns of seeing and reacting to people and situations. Equipped with this self-awareness, our clients are able to make conscious choices that inevitably bring out their best and the best in others.

Trilogy Effect has worked with the Enneagram for years, personally and with hundreds of clients and senior leaders.

The Enneagram

Our Extensive Toolkit Includes The Leadership Circle

This framework builds upon our belief that every person has potential, realized and unexpressed. The Leadership Circle offers a way to open up constructive, necessary and often avoided conversations with leaders that reveal their gifts and areas for development. The Enneagram is a perfect pairing with The Leadership Circle’s competency-based 360º review and the Collective Leadership Assessment, which builds readiness for change.

The output surfaces key opportunities for leadership skills development and provides an ongoing, systemic approach for lasting change throughout organizations.

The Impact

  • Declan Rooney

Managing Director @ Zarbees, Johnson & Johnson

Trilogy Effect is our partner during this integration journey, filling a void that is very much needed during times of great change and many new people and relationships. They have the trust of the people to help them feel comfortable with the change and trust the change.

  • Heather Totton

Senior Director, Governance and General Counsel at Nova Scotia College of Nursing

I went in to this with a lot of trepidation; I had been down the road before with Insights, with all sorts of different approaches. What Trilogy Effect does differently is they don’t label any person or behavior as problematic, there is no judgement and there’s no sense that the person or the team needs to be fixed. Instead, the focus is on understanding everyone’s unique strengths, and that to maximize those strengths, we all have work to do. It felt like we were finally getting at the root of things we were trying to address for years. Everyone bought into it and supported this work because Heather and Mary Beth bring tremendous skill, compassion and kindness to these conversations.

  • VP, Litigation

    @ Major Healthcare Company

The work with Trilogy Effect uncovered barriers that we knew were there, but we did not know why or how to address. The thinking renewed the power of the collective, the sense that the individuals make up the whole, and that all are beautiful and valuable in their own personal way.

  • Paul Johnson

    President @ International Brake Industries

Of all of the leadership training programs I’ve been through, this has been the most impactful and useful for me. It helped me understand how I think, why I think the way I do, and as a result, how I come across to other people. And learning the same about the key people around me has helped me understand their own motivations. I feel we’re much better now at effectively communicating and getting things done in our organization.

  • Christopher Rich

Strategic Business Advisor and former SVP at GSK

The Trilogy Effect professionals transformed a talented but diverse cross-functional group of individuals into a cohesive, high-functioning team.

  • Gary Cohen

    CEO @ Qualitor Automotive, Timex
    and Playtex, VP @ P&G

This work helped us deliver beyond what we even thought was possible, and to get there FAST.

  • Blake Jorgensen

COO and CFO @ Electronic Arts

As an organization, we need to invest in our people, to realize that the cost of keeping and developing good people is significantly less than the cost of bringing on new people. The coaching via Trilogy Effect creates immeasurable value and time to me as a leader and opens up opportunity to grow and develop for those on my team.

  • Vidhu Dev

Pharma.D, VP of Rx to OTC Switch, R&D @ GSK

Our Team

Our approach to people development is multi-dimensional, based on our collective, hands-on experience across hundreds of organizations, from start-ups to global market leaders.

Successful leaders know, intuitively, that an authentic focus on people is the only sustainable way to grow. These are the people we work with.

We partner with senior leaders because we understand they set the tone and culture for quality and results; that in order to invite success, a leader’s number one job is to help people reach their potential, to provide what people need to get the job done and to ensure the team is working well together.

We do this work together, with each other and with our clients, because it’s what we have seen make a difference in organizations and in people’s lives.

Authority Magazine - August 13, 2020

Trilogy Effect Partner Wendy Appel says, “There’s a great expression, ‘It takes at least two to know one.’ Providing feedback is like holding up a mirror. The idea is to let the person view how he or she is being experienced and help them see the ripple effect.”

“Email is fine for day to day work updates and information sharing, but it's a terrible way to deliver feedback to an employee or colleague,” says Trilogy Effect Partner Wendy Appel.

“Leaders who are solution-oriented are really focused on action conversations,” says Heather Marasse, Executive Coach and Managing Partner of Trilogy Effect. “They want to keep things moving and they're very curious when things stop; they want to dig into what's stopping the action. Because action is what produces results and solution-oriented leaders are results-focused.”

In everyone’s career there comes a point when you find that everything you have done to get you where you are today, no longer seems to help you in getting to the next level. It often hits business professionals who are between 35-to-45 years of age and are striving to make the shift from management into leadership roles. They feel stuck.
