Trilogy Effect’s three founding partners are now fully trained on the Leadership Circle Profile.
The Leadership Circle Profile uses a universal model that combines the best theory and research on leadership as well as human and spiritual development. As a dynamic model, this 360° assessment moves with the variables in predictable ways and explains causal relationships.
“The Leadership Circle is completely resonant with our view of leadership. We view people as whole and complete. They are able to self-correct and develop once they become self aware,” explained Trilogy Effect Managing Partner Heather Marasse. “Every person has potential, both realized and untapped. The Leadership Circle framework is a celebration of this, and it offers an effective framework to reveal the gifts and opportunities for growth.
Leadership Circle Domains
The leadership Circle Profile measures two primary leadership domains – Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies. And, it surfaces key opportunities for leadership skills development.
Creative Competencies are the things that leaders do that are highly correlated with leadership effectiveness and business performance. These grow the capacity and capability of the organization and include the following dimensions:
Relating
Self awareness
Authenticity
Systems Awareness
Achieving
Reactive Tendencies are leadership behaviors that deliver short term results and can drain energy and resources. These include the following dimensions:
Complying
Protecting
Controlling
The profile assesses 18 leadership competencies. For example, the relating dimension measures a leader’s interpersonal intelligence, caring connections and willingness to foster team play, collaborate and mentor.
The Leadership Circle Profile also maps relationship behaviors. This is how an individual relates with the people they work with every day. It maps their working style in the task dimension. For example, does the leader use creative solutions or a controlling style to fulfil each task?
Each leader’s raw score is compared to the spectrum of more than 200,000 leaders who have already taken the profile.
An Effective Framework
“Adding The Leadership Circle to our consulting practice equips our clients with a language and framework to cascade effective leadership deeply into their organizations,” said Heather Marasse. “We custom-design all our engagements, and this framework provides an added level of ‘sight’ and experiential tools that draw from many well-recognized organizational development theories including the Enneagram, a framework that’s already central to our work.”
The Leadership Circle Profile provides each participant with feedback on their leadership skills and suitability and identifies those areas which may need learning support and training. For a team, it provides an assessment of the leadership culture. It compares their actual leadership culture to the more optimal one that’s required to achieve their mission.
For an organization, The Leadership Circle Profile enhances the collective leadership and provides an ongoing systemic approach for lasting change.
Public and private sector organizations across a wide range of business sectors are using The Leadership Circle Profile to create a high performing culture. A few examples include American Express, Kaiser Permanente, PricewaterhouseCoopers, McDonalds, Honda and the Food & Drug Administration.
